Currently, the communication process for making a decision about an Insight and subsequently informing other colleagues about it is fragmented. This leads to unnecessary expenditure of time and a lack of clarity for everyone involved. A serious disadvantage of this fragmented communication is that decisions are lost in emails, essential information is not accessible to all those involved and there is an overall lack of clarity.
Solving communication challenges
The new functions for commenting and sharing fundamentally change the way we work with duplicates, discontinuations and data enrichment. This is an important step towards not only simplifying collaboration, but also making it more efficient and transparent.
For this reason, the following functions are now available to all Insights users:
Comment
Users can now write comments on individual Insights. This function is ideal for making comments, asking questions or documenting decisions.
Share
This function allows you to share certain Insights with colleagues within your organization. Sharing is done via email with colleagues who use the same email domain as you.
As soon as you share an Insight with your colleagues, they will receive a notification by e-mail. Even if they don't have a SPARETECH account, that's no problem - we automatically create a free "Commenter" account for your colleagues. This opens up the possibility to involve everyone in your organization in the discussion of an Insight.
Marking duplicates
In addition, the option to mark the leading material number within a group of duplicates has recently been introduced for duplicates. Thanks to the comment function, you can now also add your reasons for preferring one material number over another, making it easier to manage your stock.
